This Week's Laptop Deals Are Here!
Here are the best gaming laptop sales
Hello deal hunters!
The best gaming laptop deals of the week are here:
This Week’s Best Deals
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 6GB RAM: 12GB DDR5-4800 Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 144Hz SSD: 512GB $534.99 at Lenovo (Pickup at Best Buy) Use coupon codes: Comments: This is a nice option if you’re on a strict budget. It’s around $65 cheaper compared to the cheapest RTX 4050 gaming laptop we’ve ever listed on the deals site. That said, if you can save an extra $100 or so, the RTX 4050 is worth the extra. But right now the lowest 4050 laptop deal we’ve got listed is HP’s Victus 15 for $657 at Walmart. The main thing to watch out for here is that the 7235HS processor does not have integrated graphics, so battery life is going to suffer. But with the charger connected, modern games should run alright at lower settings. |
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM Display: 16.1” 1920 × 1080 144Hz SSD: 512GB $899.99 at Best Buy Comments: We originally had this deal listed a month ago, but it’s back! This is by far the cheapest RTX 4070 gaming laptop available at the moment. Lenovo’s LOQ 15 is also available for the same price with same graphics, but it has a worse processor without integrated graphics - and it’s sold via Antonline. We haven’t shared deals from them in over a year due to negative feedback from people who have bought from them, but we haven’t heard of any problems for a long time now, so might start sharing more of their deals in future if they’ve improved - if you have experience with them let us know! |
CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 RAM: 32GB DDR5 Display: 18” 2560 × 1600 240Hz SSD: 1TB $2149.99 at Best Buy Comments: This is a new record low price for this gaming laptop! Yes, there are cheaper RTX 4080 gaming laptops, like Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7i that will perform similarly in games, but bigger 18” laptops like this usually cost more money - that’s just how it is. Of course this makes the laptop less portable, but I can’t deny, playing games on a larger screen is definitely a nicer experience. And hey, maybe you can skip gym day if you’re carrying that extra weight around all day! |
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 185H GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 RAM: 32GB LPDDR5X-7647 Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz SSD: 1TB $2159.99 at Dell Comments: Another RTX 4080 gaming laptop - but this one is a smaller and thinner 16” model, so more portable compared to the last option for a similar price. Of course CPU performance won’t be as good as it’s using a Meteor Lake processor with fewer cores and threads, but that’s a tradeoff of the slimmer design. Honestly for most people I’d suggest the cheaper Legion Pro 7i, which does have the more powerful HX processor, but the B&H store is closed until October 27th. This is for those of you have had your eyes on this Alienware model 💻👀 |
These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑
Video of the Week - How Much VRAM?
NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and 4070 laptop GPUs are limited to 8GB of VRAM - But is this actually enough for modern games, or should you spend more to get the RTX 4080 with 12GB of VRAM?
I’ve got the answer in this week’s video - Check it out 👇
Tip of the Week - More Sticks
You should use two sticks of memory for best laptop performance!
Put simply, if your gaming laptop only has one stick of memory installed, you’re probably leaving performance on the table.
To be fair, this applies more to laptops that use DDR4 memory than it does to DDR5, but there is still a difference.
With laptops using DDR4 memory, one stick of memory runs in single channel. Installing a second stick runs in dual channel, which can boost FPS in games by up to 30% from our testing.
With DDR5, best case we’re talking about a 10% boost with two sticks, which is still decent, but it depends on the game. This is because one stick of DDR5 memory sort of runs in dual channel already, to oversimplify things, while two sticks is quad channel.
Unfortunately the specs of most gaming laptops don’t actually specify whether or not they’re sold with 1 or 2 memory sticks, which makes it difficult for you know when buying. But it’s worth checking once you’ve got your laptop, as it’s a simple upgrade that can improve your performance.
Alright, these are our favorite gaming laptop deals of the week! Did we miss something you have your eyes on 👀? Reply and let us know!
