Comments: This is the lowest we’ve ever seen this laptop on sale for!

It often goes on sale for $699, even down to $649 a couple of times, but this is the best price we’ve seen so far for this RTX 4050 gaming laptop.

Acer’s Nitro series is their budget option compared to the more expensive Helios, but this is still great value for the level of performance on offer.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060

RAM: 16GB LPDDR5X-6400

Display: 14” 2880 × 1800 120Hz OLED

SSD: 1TB

$1074.99 at Best Buy
Save $525 (33%) - Record Low Price!
Was $1599.99

Comments: This is the lowest we’ve ever seen this laptop on sale for!

To be fair, it has dropped to $1099 a few times in the past, but if you’ve missed those sales then this is the best one yet.

ASUS’s Zephyrus G14 is one of the best 14” gaming laptops currently available. If you’re after maximum portability but still want performance, then this deal is perfect.

I’m guessing the price is starting to come down a bit as the new RTX 50 series model may come out in March. But so far, it’s not looking good for these new RTX 50 laptops.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 185H

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070

RAM: 16GB LPDDR5X-6400

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz OLED

SSD: 1TB

$1439.99 at Best Buy
Save $560 (28%)
Was $1999.99

Comments: This deal isn’t quite at the record low price - but it’s only $40 above the record low $1399 we saw back in August 2024.

That makes this the best price in almost 6 months!

Again, I suspect it’s due to the imminent release of RTX 50 series gaming laptops in March.

But so far, it’s not looking good for these new RTX 50 laptops. At least for gaming - the RTX 5070 doesn’t look like it will be all that much better than the 4070.

However, for video editing I am personally interested in seeing how the new 50 series model performance due to new encoders, decoders, and 4:2:2 10-bit support. I am considering retiring my MacBook Pro 14 with M2 Max for a 2025 G16 for video editing when I travel to events like CES - Mostly I’ve had enough of MacOS 😅

Alternatively, if you’re after more power, RAM & SSD space, the RTX 4090 configuration just hit a new record low price of $2799.99 at Best Buy.

These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Video of the Week - RTX 50 Gaming Laptops Suck?

It’s not looking good for 2025 gaming laptops with NVIDIA’s new RTX 50 series graphics 😓
