Comments: This is one of the cheapest gaming laptops with RTX 5060 graphics we’ve seen so far, and finally similar in price to what was normal for 4060 models a year ago.

The Aurora series is Alienware’s new “budget” range that replaces the Dell G series, and I recently bought this exact configuration to review.

That’s still a few weeks away unfortunately, but so far it seems like a decent laptop for the price.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti

RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600

Display: 16” 1920 × 1200 165Hz

SSD: 1TB

Save $390 (20%) - Record Low!
Was $1999.99

Comments: For some context, the RTX 5070 Ti performs slightly behind the RTX 4080 (comparison video coming soon!) - and good quality RTX 4080 laptops at this price almost never happened.

We haven’t yet reviewed the 2025 model of this laptop, but the 2024 and 2023 chassis was exceptional with very few downsides.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti

Comments: This laptop has the same graphics as the Strix G16 above, but the extra $400 gets you double the RAM and an OLED screen.

This is another one we have in the queue to review, but like the last gen Pro series, it’s a premium gaming laptop and offers good performance.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5090

RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 512GB

Comments: A bit more expensive than the others, but this is one of the cheapest RTX 5090 laptops we’ve seen so far.

You can customize it quite a bit when ordering, so more RAM/SSD/OLED screen will increase the price - probably why it’s so low (at least for a 5090 laptop!)

It costs similar to what we often saw last gen 4090 laptops go for, which is good considering the 5090 is only slightly faster than the 4090 in games.

These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Video of the Week

Is it worth paying more for an RTX 5080 gaming laptop, or should you save some money with the 5070 Ti?

I’ve compared both in 25 games at 1080p, 1440p and 4K to find out 👇

Tip of the Week - When is the Best Time to Buy a Gaming Laptop?

We’ve tracked deals on the https://gaminglaptop.deals site for years now - these are the best sale periods we’ve seen:

  1. Black Friday / Cyber Monday (November): The best sales all year happen here, a month or so before Christmas.

  2. Amazon Prime Day (July): Alright so we don’t normally see too many good deals from Amazon. But when Amazon runs their big sale of the year, other companies tend to jump in with their own sales too. This is happening this week! Check the deals site often throughout the week!

  3. Back to School Sales (July/August): These sales are usually for more general purpose laptops for school use, but gaming models still see some nice deals.

This explains why there are finally deals on newer RTX 50 models.

We haven’t sent our weekly deal email out for a few weeks now because the deals weren’t good enough.

Hopefully this is the start of that changing. In previous years July is typically when we first see prices lower and then slowly keep lowering until Black Friday.

Alright, these are our favorite gaming laptop deals of the week! Did we miss something you have your eyes on 👀? Reply and let us know!
