This Week's Laptop Deals Are Here!
Here are the best gaming laptop sales
Hello deal hunters!
Unfortunately this week’s deals aren’t as amazing compared to what we saw over the weekend, but here’s what we’ve got for you so far:
This Week’s Best Deals
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600 Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 165Hz SSD: 512GB $1016.49 at Lenovo Comments: The Slim 5 is a solid mid-range option. Technically it is possible to find an RTX 4070 laptop for this price, but there are usually other compromises on build quality etc. Full disclosure - this was $963 until a few hours ago. Lenovo love to change their coupon codes way too often, we’ll update the https://gaminglaptop.deals/ page if anything changes. Or if you’re just after the cheapest RTX 4060 laptop, then this week that’s Dell’s G15 for $899.99. |
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900HX GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 RAM: 16GB DDR5 Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz SSD: 1TB $1839.99 at Best Buy Comments: This may not be a record low price - but it’s not much higher, and at the end of the day is still a great price for RTX 4080 performance. The 4080 is 55% faster than the 4070 in a 25 game average at 1440p - quite a big improvement, and worth the extra money if it’s within budget. |
These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑
Video of the Week - Can you game on integrated graphics?
Integrated graphics, aka iGPUs, are getting powerful - but can the latest models actually run modern games at 1080p?
I’ve tested 20 games on Intel’s and AMD’s newest laptop processors to find out which is best 👇
Tip of the Week - Best Laptop Screen Size?
At the end of the day this comes down to personal preference, but here are some things to consider:
Small: Smaller 14 inch gaming laptops are great if you’re on the go, but at the compromise of a smaller screen. They also have less upgrade options, just one M.2 slot for storage upgrades is fairly normal, but the ones that have two compromise by having soldered memory.
Medium: 15 and 16 inch gaming laptops are a great sweet spot. They usually offer enough upgrade options (e.g. 2x M.2 slots, 2x RAM sticks, 1x Wi-Fi card), enough ports, and have a slightly bigger screen which is better for most people while not being too much bigger or heavier.
Large: 17 inch gaming laptops are quickly disappearing, replaced by taller 16:10 18 inch screens that fit within a similar size footprint. I think it’s fair to say that objectively, these bigger screens just look better to play games on - at least that’s our experience!
For me personally, the portability trade off of a big screen isn’t worth it, as I only use laptops when traveling. But if you’re not moving the machine around as much, a bigger laptop might offer more ports, even more upgrade options (think 3x or 4x M.2 slots, up to 4x RAM slots), and potentially bigger coolers for more performance.
I’ll stick to 14-15 inch and just connect a bigger screen when I dock at home! But let us know which you prefer and why?
