Hello deal hunters!

We’ve found some new record low prices that are cheaper than Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales!

This Week’s Best Deals

CPU: Intel Core i5-13450HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060

RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 144Hz

SSD: 512GB

$729.99 at B&H
Save $370 (34%) New Record Low!
Was $1099.99

Comments: This laptop is actually cheaper than it was during Black Friday sales! It’s only $20 less, but cheaper is cheaper.

This is just excellent value for my favorite budget gaming laptop chassis of 2023 & 2024. Combined with RTX 4060 graphics, you’ll be able to run modern games at good settings no problem.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070

RAM: 16GB DDR5

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 144Hz

SSD: 512GB

$879.99 at Walmart
Save $320 (29%) New Record Low!
Was $1199.99

Comments: This is the cheapest gaming laptop with RTX 4070 graphics we’ve ever seen.

This LOQ is now $20 cheaper compared to what we saw before Black Friday sales!

Compared to the LOQ deal above, the 4070 offers 20% more FPS in games compared to the 4060. This one also costs about 20% more money, so that sounds like a fair trade.

The main downside to be aware of is the 7435HS processor, which does not have integrated graphics. Basically this means that battery life sucks, as per our testing.

But that’s the only real downside. If you will mostly use your laptop with the charger connected, then that’s not a problem. And I always recommend gaming with the charger connected for best performance in games and so the battery doesn’t degrade as fast, so it may be less of a concern.

Otherwise if you’re after 4070 graphics, the next best option is the ASUS TUF F15 for $999 at Best Buy. That one does have integrated graphics, and double the SSD space, but it costs more as a result.

CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080

RAM: 32GB DDR5-5600

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 1TB

$1999.99 at B&H
Save $800 (29%)
Was $2799.99

Comments: This is a great gaming laptop and available once again for the same price we saw during Black Friday sales.

It actually sold out during Black Friday, and after B&H ran out of stock they actually increased the price to $2199.

But it came back in stock today, and the $1999 price has returned too!

Additionally, the RTX 4090 version is also back for $2399. This is also the same price we saw during Black Friday sales, but then the price went up to $2599.

I guess they got a fresh shipment of the Pro 7i in, as both deals have returned.

Tip of the Week - Update Your Software!

The main software updates are for the operating system, drivers and BIOS.

  1. Driver updates are the most important as far as gaming on your laptop goes. NVIDIA, AMD and Intel all release new graphics drivers when a new popular game launches that are optimized for best performance. If you’re about to get stuck into a new game, then it’s a good idea to check for a graphics driver update first!

  2. Operating system updates (e.g. Windows updates) typically include bug fixes to known problems and new features. Yeah, sometimes they add junk no one asked for, but for the most part updates are generally positive. Personally I don’t update to a new major version, like 24H2, until it’s been out for a few months. But otherwise I keep these up to date.

  3. BIOS updates have a higher chance of causing issues, but may also offer improvements. Many (but not all) laptop vendors provide a changelog noting the improvements. I’ve seen some updates that boost gaming performance by increasing power limits, so check them out.
