This Week's Laptop Deals Are Here!

Here are the best gaming laptop sales

Hello deal hunters!

We took a short break after covering the new gaming laptops announced at CES - but now we’re back with the deals!

This Week’s Best Deals

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070

RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1200 144Hz

SSD: 512GB

$879.99 at Walmart - Record Low Price
Save $320 (27%)
Was $1599

Comments: Alright we’ve seen this price before near Black Friday sales, but it’s still amazing as far as RTX 4070 tier performance goes.

This is just insane value in terms of cost per frame and is very difficult to beat.

Combined with Lenovo’s LOQ chassis being my favorite budget option, and there’s not much to complain about here - except the processor.

The Ryzen 7 7435HS does not have integrated graphics, so battery life sucks. But if that’s not important to you and you’ll mostly use the laptop with the charger connected, then this deal is amazing!

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 155H

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070

RAM: 16GB LPDDR5X

Display: 14.5” 2560 × 1600 120Hz

SSD: 1TB

$999 at Walmart - Record Low Price
Save $600 (38%)
Was $1599

Comments: Alternatively, if you’re after a smaller 14” gaming laptop then this is the cheapest 14” model we’ve ever listed with RTX 4070 graphics.

Pretty much any time a 4070 laptop hits $999 or below it’s a really good deal - but that’s even more so the case here, as smaller 14” models usually cost more money.

The main thing to be aware of here is the 155H processor uses soldered memory, so unfortunately it cannot be upgraded.

Note: Sometimes the price shows as $1199 for some reason, it seems to have been changing back and forth every few hours for the last few days. If you don’t see $999, check again later.

CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080

RAM: 32GB DDR5

Display: 18” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 1TB

$1999.99 at Best Buy - Record Low Price
Save $500 (20%)
Was $2499.99

Comments: This is another deal we’ve seen before during Black Friday sales - but it’s still a great price.

Generally, laptops with bigger 18” screens like this cost more money compared to 16” options - but that’s not the case with this deal.

Although a larger screen is objectively nicer to game on, it does mean less portability - that’s the tradeoff.

But if you’re just after the cheapest RTX 4080 option at the moment, that would be MSI’s Vector 16 at B&H for $1799.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 185H

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080

RAM: 32GB LPDDR5X

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz OLED

SSD: 1TB

$2274.99 at Best Buy - Record Low Price
Save $425 (16%)
Was $2699.99

Comments: The ASUS Zephyrus G16 was one of my favorite gaming laptops of 2024 if you’re after a thin and light model.

Apart from the higher price for a premium design, the main downside is that this processor is limited to soldered memory.

However, unlike the RTX 4070 configuration, which maxes out with 16 gigs of RAM, this higher tier 4080 option has 32, which should be plenty for gaming for years to come.

This RTX 4080 configuration has regularly gone on sale for $2299 in the past, but this week it’s hit a new low. Yeah, it’s only $25 less, but money saved is money saved!

These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Video of the Week

There are plenty of new gaming laptops coming out in 2025 - I travelled to CES in Las Vegas to check them all out 👇

Tip of the Week - Ports!

It’s imPORTant to consider the ports your future gaming laptop has - see what I did there?

Cringe dad jokes aside, bigger laptops usually have more room for more ports, but that’s not always the case.

You need to think about what devices you plan on connecting. Do you need ethernet for faster network connectivity? If so, thinner laptops are out of the question unless you use a USB dongle. Does your local network support faster than gigabit speeds? How many USB Type-A or Type-C devices do you have? Do the Type-C ports support charging so you don’t have to carry around the larger charger? How many monitors do you need to connect?

These are questions that only you can answer based on how you will use your laptop, and are worth thinking about.

You also need to consider where the ports are physically located on the laptop. Is it going to be fine having a bunch of USB ports on the right down the front where your mouse hand sits? Or would it be better to have them on the back and out of the way? Most laptops don’t have rear port icons, making it harder to see what you’re plugging in without turning the laptop around or bending over it, but then some do, like Lenovo’s Legion series.

Docks can be a good way of expanding I/O, but try to choose a laptop that has what you need where you need it built in, as it’s much more convenient.
