Hello deal hunters!

Things are starting to heat up now that we are less than 2 weeks until Black Friday!

This Week’s Best Deals

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS

Comments: This gaming laptop offers excellent performance for the price!

AMD’s RX 7700S is comparable to NVIDIA’s RTX 4060, but this sale puts it cheaper than pretty much all other 4060 laptop deals we’ve shared in the past.

The 7700S can actually compete with the higher tier RTX 4070 in some games that favor AMD graphics over NVIDIA, which at a minimum cost $899.

Full disclosure, we have shared this laptop on sale before for $679, so this isn’t a record low price - but it’s not far off and still great value relative to NVIDIA alternatives.

CPU: Intel Core i9-13900HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070

RAM: 32GB DDR5-4800

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 1TB

Was $1899.99
Note: You need to sign up to Dell’s Newsletter to get an additional 10% off - it might take a few hours for them to email you the discount code.

Comments: This is just a great price for a mid-range gaming laptop with RTX 4070 graphics.

Dell’s G16 is generally a little bigger compared to other options, but if you don’t need maximum portability the specs here are some of the best for this price at the moment.

But if you’re after a cheaper RTX 4070 option, that would be Lenovo’s Legion Slim 5 for $999.99 at Microcenter. The only problem is it’s in store pickup only, and not everyone has access. It also has the compromise of a weaker CPU that’s missing integrated graphics, and that means bad battery life.

CPU: Intel Core i9-14900HX

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080

RAM: 32GB DDR5

Display: 18” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 1TB

$1999.99 at Best Buy
Save $500 (20%)
Was $2499.99

Comments: This is a record low price for this gaming laptop!

Generally, laptops with bigger 18” screens like this cost more money compared to 16” options - but that’s not the case with this deal.

This is a great price for an RTX 4080 gaming laptop, and even better for a bigger model.

Although a larger screen is objectively nicer to game on, it does mean less portability - that’s the tradeoff.

If you’re looking for a great 16” option with RTX 4080 graphics this week, that would still be Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7i at B&H for the same price.

These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Here’s what gaming laptop I would consider buying at every price range 👇

Tip of the Week - Don’t Game on Battery Power!

This might sound like a contradiction, but gaming laptops aren’t really for playing games on battery power.

Here are 4 reasons why:

  1. Low performance: The battery cannot provide as much power as the charger, FPS in games is reduced at best, or becomes an unstable stuttering mess at worst.

  2. Short run time: Even if performance is acceptable, for modern games an hour of run time is pretty average, with two hours being exceptional. Of course, less demanding indie titles will run better and last longer if the GPU isn’t being hit as hard.

  3. Battery degradation: The more you discharge and recharge a battery, the less it lasts - especially when you’re draining it fast by putting a heavy load on it like a game.

  4. Some laptops can’t even: I recently reviewed Gigabyte’s Aorus 16X. We normally test battery life in The Witcher 3 at 1080p medium settings limited to 30 FPS, which is quite easy to run. This modern laptop with i9-14900HX processor and NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics couldn’t even sustain 9 FPS - it was completely unusable.

Gigabyte limit how much power the laptop can draw on battery, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Unfortunately there’s no way of knowing about this before buying a laptop - but we share all our battery life results with over 240+ results for you to compare.

Gaming laptops perform great with the charger connected. You can still use them for plenty of other non-gaming tasks while on battery power, just don’t expect to get a great gaming experience when gaming on battery power.

But even if games do run well on battery with your laptop, just connect the charger for best performance and battery longevity.
