Another Week of Gaming Laptop Deals Just Dropped!

Hello deal hunters!

Welcome to the second edition of the Gaming Laptop Deals weekly newsletter!

We didn’t see any incredible deals for Memorial Day to justify an extra email, so we’ve instead waited to see what new deals would spawn after - Let’s get into it!

This Week’s Best Deals

Lenovo LOQ (2024)

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS

RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 144Hz

SSD: 512GB

$799.99 at Best Buy
Save $200 (20%)
Was $999.99

Comments: This is a killer price for an RTX 4060 gaming laptop. I rated Lenovo’s LOQ series as the best budget gaming laptop in 2023, and so far I’ve seen no reason to change that opinion in 2024.

Dell G15 (2023)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS

CPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060

RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 165Hz

SSD: 512GB

$849.99 at Dell
Save $250 (25%)
Was $1099.99

Comments: Oh look, another RTX 4060 gaming laptop! This one is $50 more than the LOQ, but a little nicer build quality in our opinion (though the LOQ has better software). Combined with a newer and faster Zen 4 processor, it’s worth stretching the budget a little further if you can.

Acer Helios 16 (2023)

GPU: Intel Core i9-13900HX

CPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080

RAM: 32GB DDR5

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

SSD: 1TB SSD

$1799 at B&H
Save $500 (22%)
Was $2299

Comments: This deal isn’t new like the others, but I wanted to draw some attention to it before it ends. We shared an Alienware m16 with RTX 4080 graphics last week for the same price (which is still on the deals site btw), but this is another well priced option.

From our testing, RTX 4080 laptop graphics offer a huge 55% FPS boost compared to the RTX 4070 at 1440p. The 4080 can really be worth it for a few hundred dollars more compared to a 4070 if you want to take things to the next level.

These are some nice deals - but sales change over time. Our https://gaminglaptop.deals website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Video of the Week

It’s important to consider future upgrades when it comes to buying a gaming laptop, as future hardware changes are limited by the laptop you buy today.

I’ve shared everything I know on this topic in our most recent YouTube video - Check it out below 👇

Tip of the Week

You can save a lot of money buying a slightly older 2023 gaming laptop.

Most of the 2024 models released so far are basically the same as their 2023 versions, but more expensive.

Sure, they have the latest Intel 14th gen or AMD Ryzen 8000 processors. But at the end of the day, these changes offer little to no performance improvements. So why spend more?

This is why most of the deals we share are for 2023 models - the value just can’t be beaten.

2024 models are only worth considering if there’s a great deal (we’ll have it on our site), or if there is a nice improvement you really want, like an OLED screen or bigger battery, for example.

That said, I’m surprised we’ve got a 2024 model at the top of this week’s list. Granted, it’s using a last gen Zen 3+ processor, so the tech inside isn’t strictly 2024!

Alright, these are our favorite gaming laptop deals of the week! Did we miss something you have your eyes on 👀? Reply and let us know!
